First Redeemer Church-Cumming, GA...

Page Under Construction

The second Danley Sound Labs Jericho system to ever be installed in a church becomes the world's largest mixing and mastering room.

When word gets on the street that a church with the size and influence of First Redeemer Church in Cumming, GA is looking to purchase a new sound system, more than a few contractors look to win their business. And of course, the buzz word as usual is "Line Array" when they come calling. What most fail to realize is that First Redeemer has one of the most talented and experienced audio engineers in the business....Mr. Jeff Baggett. Jeff is not swayed by buzz words, or by the fact that a lot of his neighboring churches have chosen Line Arrays for their sanctuarys. For Jeff, it goes much much deeper. Like us, Jeff's main concern is "WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE?" When word got out that he was considering a Danley Jericho system, one of the Meyer guys in the area of course got in touch with him and tried to convince him that buying a Danley system was a bad idea, and that a Meyer system was the only way to go. That was the worst idea a contractor could suggest. So, in early 2011 the gauntlet was thrown down, and a challenge was issued in a head-to-head shootout between a Meyer line array and a Danley Jericho system. The Meyer guys declined the challenge, so they were invited to bring their system in for a week and leave it for a test run. Two days after the meyer system was hung and the Meyer dealer left, we brought in a single Danley Jericho and proceeded to pound the Meyer system (costing 5 times as much) into powder. It is painfully obvious now why the Meyer guys ran from the challenge. If I were a Meyer dealer, I would too!
